Jacksonville rapper who gained popularity on social media, dies after shooting in front of hotel
Jacksonville rapper Julio Foolio was shot and killed in Tampa early Sunday, his attorney confirmed.
Police said four people were hit with gunfire at a Holiday Inn Express parking lot, one fatally.
Foolio, whose real name was Charles Jones, was one of the four victims, his attorney told local media. The shooting happened around 3:30 a.m. in the parking lot of the hotel, which is located near Interstate 275 and Fowler Avenue.
Police said they are still investigating the shooting and have not yet released any suspect information.
